Well, hi there. Still pregnant. When we woke up this morning, Scott turned to me and said, "You know, I think you might be right. You might stay pregnant forever." At this point, that's not a mean thing to say. I feel the same. Really, how big can my uterus get??
I wanted to go back and read my blog posts from my pregnancy with Zoe. It's always a weird experience, to read stuff you've written years ago. I seem so...young, and dramatic. If you want to do the same, you can click here to check out my experience in those last few weeks.
This is much different, which was the idea. My 'normal' due date by LMP would have been January 15th. Today would be 42 weeks, and if my care provider were a birthing center or OB, I would now be experiencing intense pressure to induce. The only thing Pamela has said to me about going 'post-dates' was, "Well, we might start to worry if you're still pregnant in, say, mid-April." She was joking, of course, but that's the sentiment here. My blood pressure is fine, the baby is kicking all day long, baby's heartbeat is good, my health is good. We're fine. I guess this is just the way my body and my babies do it.
Anytime, though, really. That'd be great. My last hope was by the end of the month. My new hope is just to be home by Valentine's Day. Wish us luck!

Shelby,
Just wanted to drop a quick note to thank you for sharing your pregnancy journey with your readers. It's been a huge encouragement, as I move into week 9 of my own pregnancy, and am facing decisions about the kind of care, and delivery, that I want. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you wait for your little one's arrival. Just a quick note, have you tried a chiropractic adjustment to encourage labor?

Yes! I have had two chiropractic adjustments and several acupuncture treatments. Thanks for checking.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! How wonderful that you are considering these thoughts so early on. We were lucky enough to start our childbirth prep classes with our firstborn at around week 20, so as our ideas changed about what we wanted (At first, I was totally fine with an epidural. But as I learned more, I decided against one.) we easily changed care providers and started down a different path.
I wish you all the best!
